What to the Slave is the 4th of July: Frederick Douglass

Please join The NC Poor People's Campaign Sandhills Circle on Saturday, July 5th, for a reading of Frederick Douglass's "What to the Slave is the 4th of July?". The oration was originally delivered 173 years ago to the day. In light of present-day efforts to rewrite or suppress African-American history, this speech couldn't be more relevant. Time and place are on the flyer. We look forward to meeting you there.
