Southern Pines Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration 2026

Please join the West Southern Pines Civic Club, the Southern Pines Land & Housing Trust, and the Sandhills Circle of the Poor People’s Campaign of North Carolina for three days celebrating the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Saturday, January 17, at 10:00 am, the celebration commences with the Annual MLK Breakfast at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1715 Luther Way, Southern Pines, hosted by the West Southern Pines Civic Club. Tickets can be purchased at the West Southern Pines Center office.

Sunday, January 18, the Southern Pines Land & Housing Trust will host the Annual MLK Community Worship Service at the West Southern Pines Center Auditorium, 1250 W New York Avenue, Southern Pines, at 3:30 pm.

Monday, January 19, at 10:00 am, the Annual Martin Luther King Day March will begin at Downtown Park, 145 SE Broad Street, Southern Pines, and proceed to the West Southern Pines Cultural Arts Center.

Monday, January 19. Immediately after the conclusion of the march, the Sandhills Circle of the Poor People’s Campaign of North Carolina will conclude the celebrations with the Annual Martin Luther King Day Youth Program at the West Southern Pines Cultural Arts Center, 1250 W New York Avenue, Southern Pines.
